ABOUT 01W was the direct successor of the long M1 / N / X and T Series but added a waveshaper, that added resonant sounding waveshaping and other shaping algorithms to replace the resonance (still missing on the filters)
ABOUT 01/W und deren Ableger (gleiche Daten bis auf Tastenanzahl/ROM Größen) brachte das Waveshaping, was die immer noch nicht resonanzfähigen Filter ausgleichen sollte, es gab aber auch andere shaping-Algorithmen. Die zweite Workstation-Serie -nach dem M1- begründete eine ganze Welle von Synthesizern mit Sequencer und genug Stimmen, um ein komplettes Demo aufnehmen zu können, inkl. damals sehr beeindruckende Röchelsamples mit an Bord aus dem ROM
